For our Client we are looking for a qualified candidate for the position of: SENIOR ANALOG IC DESIGN ENGINEER Place of work: Ireland Reference number: SAICDE/Irl./08.13 General Description: • The Senior Analog IC Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of high-speed optoelectronic ICs for data communication applications. Key Responsibilities: • Design of high-speed LED and laser driver ICs and receiver ICs, including highly sensitive TIA circuits for optoelectronic ICs. • Supervision of IC physical layout. • Work with external IC design teams in validating and testing their IC designs. • Contribute to the development of analog/mixed signal IC characterization, test and device qualification engineering activities. • Work closely with production engineering teams to successfully release products to manufacturing. Candidate Requirements: • Candidate should have the following education, experience and skills: • Education: 2.1 Honors or higher degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. • Experience: 5+ years of analog and/or mixed signal IC design experience in a semiconductor environment including knowledge and experience of linear analog design, including for example amplifiers and active filters. Desired Skills: • Design of high-speed drivers for optical communications. • Design of TIA and linear equalizer circuits for optical communications. • Low noise and low distortion circuit design techniques. • Interface circuit design including for example 50 Ohm input/output circuits. • Limiting amplifier design. • Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. • Experience with industry standard design tools (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, etc.). • Experience with Bipolar, BiCMOS and CMOS foundry processes such as TSMC, UMC, XFAB. • Established track record of delivering completed designs into production. • Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines. • Experience in resolving engineering issues once silicon is in production. • Experience in Matlab or Scilab. • Specification of production test programs.
